Here are 2 of the references I use. They aren't the only ones but they work together well and are generally considered pretty standard across this site. New cards like hardcase, Rex, bane, etc. won't show up on here until a few weeks after the event ends, as it takes a while for values to stabilize.

The idea is that each point = one remote. So theoretically, you should be able to trade 4 3* skill cards at sk1 (8 remotes) for a 4* obipad base.
Similarly, Barriss is currently listed at 36 points, or roughly 18 3* skill cards.
To calculate the value of an evolved card, you just multiply by the minimum number of cards used to make that evo.
So an evo1 Barriss is worth roughly 72 pts (36 per base X 2 bases).
An emax Barriss gets you roughly to 144 (36 X 4), or basically the equivalent of a base 5* JJB (140 points).
One thing to note is that 8/15 emax cards don't often trade much higher than a 4/7, since the difference is only around 2% in stats.
So while you may be able to get a HOK base (160) for an 8/15 Barriss,
you probably won't get the same value as 8 bases or two 4/7 Barriss (288, or 36 X 8).
In the 5* Leia sniper example, she is currently rated at around 950 for a base.
Let's assume I'm right and hardcase settles in a little under Barriss in value, so for the sake of round numbers, let's use 30 points for him.
EXAMPLE:
8/15 Barriss, or 150 points (rounding for ease)
8/15 Hardcase, or around 120 if my original estimate was right.
So a total of 270 for a card rated at around 950.
If you made that offer outside the legion, you'd probably end up on one of the lowball threads here
As for the fact that hardcase is sk10, it only takes 28 remotes (or there about) to go from sk1 to sk10,
so people aren't going to give much of a premium for that.
I've personally found that most people don't care about the sk level until you are around sk30 or more,
or if you are doing a skill swap (e.g. Your sk 28 taun we for my sk26 wat tambor + small topper).
These lists are just references, and there are several others out there, so you can get better deals sometimes.
You also may find yourself 'overpaying' in points to get a high-tier card, as nobody is going to trade you their queen for 50 Jabbas,
since nobody really wants Jabba anyway.
I use these to get into the right ballpark so I don't find myself offering a 4/7 5* obipad for a base HOK, for example.
Hopefully this helps - you can always reach out whenever if you have questions!
Feel free to invite others from the legion like Mal to this conversation so you get other opinions as well.
Again, I'm no expert
