A lot of confusion is out there about the Support Decks... so I scoured AppInvasion and other sites to determine what exactly we are looking at here. Here is what we know as of today:
1) Support Decks offer the ability to add new skills to your formation through use of support cards with support skills. These skills are different than the ones historically used in SWFC, and some cards which had no battle or pre-battle skills at all now have Support Skills attached to them.
2) You have 7 card slots available for your Support Deck (Which you can change for each Formation/Template). The cost allowed (Support CAP) for the Support Deck = Your Current CAP/3. For instance, if your CAP is 300, your Support CAP will be 100.
3) Each Card you place in your Support Deck brings a "Type Value" and the "Types" the card is associated with:
3a) Type Value: Type Value is a simple formula. Type Value = * Value + Evo x 0.1. 2 Example:
3a-1) AniPad (5*) Evo Max = 5.3
3a-2) ObiPad (4*) Base = 4.0
3b) Types: Each card has up to 5 "Types" they are associated with. These Types are important when determining how to stack your Support Deck as you will want to capitalize on as many types as possible when building hopefully at least 1 Support Skill. More below on that.
4) Support Skills, as we know it, are as follows:
4a) Nullification: If the Leader Card is present in the formation, the affects for all Prep Skills will be nullified for all cards in the same horizontal row as the leader (Does NOT affect Combat Skills).
4b) Prep Skill Increase: Increases the chance of your prep skills to increase by 10/20/30%
4c) LS Conversion: Converts all Neutral Units in your formation to LS Units
4d) DS Conversion: Converts all Neutral Units in yoru Formation to DS Units
4e) Space Increase: Increases the space between formations at the onset by 1/2/3 rows
4f) Space Decrease: Decreases the space between formations at the onset by 1/2/3 rows
4g) HP Increase: Increases the HP for every card in your formation by 50/100/150
4h) Credit Increase: Increases credits received for battles by 3/6/10/15%
4i) DS Penalty Reduction: Relaxes the level difference for penalty by 1/2/4/8/12 Levels
5) Certain cards have these Skills associated with them, which the known ones are listed in the attached file.
6) Each card with this skill does not automatically trigger. There are "Type Values" required to activate. Here's how the type values work:
6a) For every card in your support deck you get additions to the Type Values for each type the card is associated with. For instance, Yoda 4* Evo 2, which is associated with Male, Jedi, and Galatic Republic Types, will Add 4.3 Type Value to each of these types in your SUpport Deck Total
6b) Each Support Skill Card in your Deck will have value thresholds associated with either 1 or 2 specific types. For instance, a card may have a Jedi Type threshold of 4 and a Sith Type threshold of 4 to activate the LS Conversion Support Skill. Therefore the CUMULATIVE Value of all Jedi and Sith EACH must be 4 to activate this skill.
6c) If you want more than on Support Skill to trigger, you must meet all requirements for each skill you want to use. This is where having large type value (5*) cards with multiple types, such as AniPad that has 5 types comes in handy.
6d) If you meet the thresholds for the skill, it will trigger every battle (we think)
7) Strategy is still being formed, and will largely be determined by the meta of the game and how people use the various skills. More to come on this topic. One thing I do know: Closing the distance between my formation and Blizzard Formations gives me a BIG advantage, even if I have snipers.
